The NEMI Vacuum Tube Vise is the perfect solution for applications where machining of thin wall tubing is required. The unique feature about this vise is that vacuum actually clamps the tube with outward and inward force simultaneously using (2) individual vacuum circuits. The first circuit closes the jaws to a solid stop. Once the jaws close the second circuit applies vacuum thru the jaws drawing the tube against the jaws. This prevents any distortion of the tube due to clamping pressure. Each vise is custom made to your specifications. The photo below illustrates a slot machined in .03" wall stainless steel tubing.
